I've never really considered this an issue, but it may be worth keeping in mind.  I am a member of an outdoor range and I shoot from my garage, so I may be OK.  Yes, the garage door is open when I shoot. ;)

Some "authorities" don't have a clue. When I was much younger, I would attend an indoor range at a local army hall to shoot .22 indoors. We would often be ousted so that the local police could train.......using .38 and often .357s. That's .357 shooting into a snail trap designed for .22lr! Range would then be closed "for repairs!"

Death by lead poisoning..not nice!

I've just heard of this issue. Hope all indoor firing ranges are aware of this.
